In the final tournament of the year for the 10U team they walked away with runner-up medals at the Janesville Summer SLAM tournament.  There was stiff competition in pool play that included eventual tourney champion Janesville Cylcones Black but the girls battled hard and picked up a win versus a talented Bloomingdale team out of Illinois.  They picked up a 2nd win against another Illinois team, Flossmoor to set up a rematch with Janesville.   Unfortunately the run ended there but not without scaring the host team a bit.  The Rage girls left 10 girls on in the 5 inning contest.  They simply couldn't get the big hit to get the runners in.   

Overally it was an up and down season for the first year team.  We were hoping for more than 12 wins but considering only 4 of the 12 girls had played club before and the balance came out of coach-pitch leagues we are satisfied with the season.  This group really turned the corner at State and all of the girls found ways to contribute at the plate and in the field.   Rage On ladies!
