Spring is kind of here, right? The month of April has hardly been a stellar one for those with softball on the mind. Cold temps and ill-timed rain have put a crimp in the desires of our club teams to get outside and start raming up for the summer. The tournament season is only 3 1/2 weeks away for our 10U and 14U teams as they'll kick off their season in the Cudahy Early Bird event the weekend of 5/17 and 5/18. To date, both teams have been outside only a couple of times as the weather has hampered the ability to actually get on a diamond to start to work out the kinks.
The 18U crew still has just under 2 months before their season kicks off but the majority of their team is already playing meaningful games with their respective high school teams. Megan Dooley is getting a lot of work with the Pius XI Popes, Liz Hafemann is in action with the Martin Luther Spartans, and the rest of the crew is off to a strong start with the Whitnall High School team. We hope to put up a "Rage Watch" section so you can track the high school girls and how they are doing with their respective teams during this spring high school season. Keep an eye out for that in the near future.
